34-Year Austin Tradition: The Armadillo Christmas Bazaar

Find one of a kind, handcrafted art and Christmas gifts...eat, drink, be merry AND listen to live music! Plus, my favorite part of the Bazaar: you're supporting the local economy while doing so.

The Bazaar begins on Friday the 11th and goes on until Christmas Eve at The Austin Convention Center from 11 am to 11 pm daily. This year there will be over 40 Austin bands and hundreds of artists selling their variety of art, jewelry and photography.

Austin, Texas made CNN's top places to find "Christmas cheer" and they think that The Armadillo Christmas Bazaar helps make it so. I most definitely agree with this statement. If you've already done your Christmas shopping, The Bazaar is still a good place to catch a unique piece of art for your home, holiday- themed or not. My best advice: don't go looking for something in particular, instead see where the labrynth-like set up of booths of artists takes you.
